HURON Make plans to attend the Independence Day Celebration in Huron on Friday, July 4.
Festivities begin at 10:30 a.m. with the parade. The parade starts at Seventh and Illinois S.W., then heads East to Dakota Avenue, it continues north on Dakota Avenue to Market Street, then west to Illinois Avenue.
Immediately following the parade, Emily Salinas will be providing patriotic music in the band shell while a pork loin BBQ is served in Campbell Park. Pork loin sandwich, baked beans, chips, and a drink are available for $8. A Vendor Fair will be set up in Campbell Park as well.
Fireworks displays over Ravine Lake and Lake Byron will commence at 10 p.m. Patriotic music will be broadcast on Tiger 95 on 95.3 FM.
