All-Stars record win against Aberdeen

ABERDEEN — The Huron All-Stars scored the first four goals en route to a 7-4 victory against the Aberdeen Cougars on Saturday in their league opener.
Spencer Busch put the All-Stars on the board less than two minutes into the game, scoring on a pass from Xavier Erickson.
Less than a minute after its first goal, Huron increased its lead to 2-0, as Walker Schiltz scored on a pass from Erickson.
Erickson then got into the scoring act with an unassisted goal to give the All-Stars a 3-0 advantage.

The final goal of the opening period for Huron was netted by Rei Hoops on a pass from Carson Duba.
Aberdeen was able to get its first goal just over a minute into the second period, but the All-Stars answered with three more goals to make it 7-1.
Duba had a pair of goals for Huron in the second period. The first was unassisted, while  Erickson and Lucas Snyder combined for the assist on the second.
Erickson collected his second goal, which accounted for the final goal of the game for the All-Stars. Duba and Snyder were credited with an assist.
Aberdeen would score the final goal of the seocnd period and then add a pair of goals in the third period, but it wouldn’t be enough to catch Huron.
Jacob Wehde recorded 20 saves to earn the win in the net for the All-Stars.
Huron had 54 shots on goal in the game, with Aberdeen goalie Landon Danielson stopping 47 of them.
The All-Stars return to action today with a 3 p.m. game against Brookings at Bergman Arena.
