WILLOW LAKE — The Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones boys’ basketball team came back to improved its season record to 11-1, after suffering the first loss of the season on Saturday, with a 65-35 victory over the Deuel Cardinals on Thursday at Willow Lake.
Stone Burke totaled 17 for the Cyclones as the top of four players to reach double figures scores for the team. Jacob Prouty and Micah Burke both tallied 14 points, while another 12 were added by Grayson Florey.
The Cardinals, now dropped to a 4-10 season record, were led by Kellan Benck with 12 points.
Clark-Willow Lake heads to Sisseton on Tuesday.

WILLOW LAKE — Janae Kolden totaled 28 points for the Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones, en route to a 70-39 win over the Deuel Cardinals in girls’ basketball action, Thursday night at Willow Lake.
The Cyclones, now improved to 12-3 on the season, gained 14 points from Abbie Bratland, while Olivia Saas added another 12 for the team.

Britney Lovre tallied 22 points for the Cardinals.
Both teams will return to the court when they travel to Madison on Saturday. Clark-Willow Lake will face Tea Area, while Deuel takes on Vermillion.

IPSWICH — The Ipswich Lady Tigers recorded a 50-36 victory over the Miller Rustlers, when the Lady Tigers hosted a girls’ basketball game on Thursday night.
A record of 10-3 on the season was improved with the win, while Ipswich was led by Kamryn Heinz with 15 points and another 14 tallied by Halle Heinz for the team.
Abby Ketelhut put 10 points on the scoreboard for the Rustlers, while Erin Concur led the rebounders with 12. Miller fell to a season record of 6-3 with the loss.  
Highmore will host Ipswich on Saturday, while Miller is set to travel to Platte.

REDFIELD — The Redfield-Doland Pheasants held a 19-11 lead after one quarter and then clamped down on the defensive end, allowing only 18 points the rest of the night, en route to a 43-29 win over the Milbank Bulldogs in girls’ basketball action Thursday night.
Hannah Keuhn led a trio of Pheasants in double figures with 13 points, while both Kaille Clausen and Eve Millar chalked up 11 points. Redfield-Doland improves to 9-3 with the win.
Milbank got 12 points from Taylor Thue, as the Bulldogs fall to 4-7 with the loss.
Redfield-Doland will tangle with top ranked Lennox on Saturday in Madison, as part of the NEC/Dak-12 Conference Clash.
