Boys’ Basketball
Miller 66, Crow Creek 61
MILLER — In a battle between the top two boys’ basketball teams in Region 6A, Miller collected a 66-61 victory over Crow Creek on Tuesday.
The Rustlers who trailed 34-22 at the half, outscored the Chieftains 23-8 during the third quarter to gain control of the game, then held on for the win.
Steven Fernholz finished with 19 points to lead Miller, which is now 9-2. Karst Hunter and Henry Mullaney finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.
Devin Letsche and Hunter shared the rebounding honors for the Rustlers with 10 boards each.
Luke Wells had a game-high 26 points to lead Crow Creek, which is now 9-3. Jayden McBride had 10 points, while Joe Sazue III had eight points.
Crow Creek won the junior varsity game 45-37.
Spencer Fernholz had 19 points and nine rebounds to lead the Rustlers.
Miller will travel to play Chamberlain today, before hosting McLaughlin on Saturday.
