HURON — Armand E.A. Peskey, 99, of Huron, formerly of Iroquois, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at the SunQuest Healthcare Center in Huron.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Monday, October 16, at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Iroquois with burial in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation with the family present will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday followed by a prayer service to begin at 4 p.m. at the Welter Funeral Home in Huron or visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.
Armand E. Peskey was born on October 23, 1917, in Beadle County to Oscar F. and Anna L. (Kopplin) Peskey. He attended the Dubro School until the eighth grade. He was united in marriage to Lenora Zell November 8, 1944. He farmed for most of his life near Iroquois and worked part time for Bales and Magness Cattle Auctions and as a custodian for the Iroquois School District. He was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lenora of Huron; children, Barb (Douglas) Canode of Galletin Gateway, Mont., Judy (Dave) Crenshaw of Colorado Springs, Colo., Alan Peskey of Brookshire, Texas, and Todd Peskey of Iroquois; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Velda Zeeck of Huron, ; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Walter, Alfred, and Erma.
