Cindy Waldner, 61, of Huron

HURON — Cindy Waldner, 61, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at the Huron Regional Medical Center after a short and hard battle with cancer. 
Her funeral service is 1 p.m. today at the Kuhler Funeral Home.  Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery at Alpena. Visitation is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Cindy Peskey was born September 2, 1956, to Edward and Evelyn (Moeding) Peskey. She grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School.
She was united in marriage to Isaac Waldner July 19, 1975, at Long Beach, Calif. while Ike was serving in the United States Navy. To this union one daughter, Jami, was born on June 17, 1976. The family later moved to the Huron area to be closer to family.
She enjoyed everything about living in the country. She liked to garden, enjoyed watching the wildlife, and talked to the deer who would come to visit her while she gardened. She was a lover of cats.
She is survived by her husband, Ike Waldner; son-in-law, Chris Waldner; grandchildren, Logan Mulder and Grace Mulder; siblings, Nila Ondricek, Ed Peskey, Jr., and Richard Peskey all of Huron; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Peskey; and daughter, Jami on December 21, 2017.
