HIGHMORE — Clara Mae Hoffman, 89, of Highmore, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018, at the Highmore Health.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, July 14, at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Highmore. Burial will follow in Medicine Hill Cemetery at Harrold. A prayer service will be 7 p.m. Friday at Luze Funeral Home, Highmore.
Clara Mae “Carrie” Hoffman was born January 21, 1924, at Florence to Johnny and Estella (Morrison) Carroll. She grew up south of Harrold and graduating from Pierre High School. She was united in marriage to Arnold Hoffman December of 1947. They made their home in rural the Harrold - Highmore area.
In 1985, they moved into Highmore and she worked for Straight’s Corner, Highmore Health Care and Hoffman’s Service, along with several other odd jobs. When she was not working, she enjoyed reading, watching baseball, square dancing, going to and watching rodeos, and spending time with family and friends.
She is survived her children, Jim (Ruby) Hoffman, Morris (Debb) Hoffman, Connie (Diane) Hoffman all of Highmore, Myra (Tim) Brothers of El Reno, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two infant sons; four brothers; and two sisters.
Luze Funeral Home of Highmore has been entrusted with Clara Mae’s arrangements.
