James Valley Christian 3, Iroquois 0
HURON — The James Valley Christian Lady Vikings pushed their season mark to 5-7 Tuesday night, with a 3-0 win over the Iroquois Lady Chiefs in 281 Conference volleyball action at the JVC Gymnasium.
Set scores for the Lady Vs were 25-10, 25-22 and 25-19.
Julia Blom recorded seven kills and Josalyn Wipf chipped in six and a pair of blocks for JVC. Kerstyn Fast had three aces and three assists, while Bekah Williams had 13 assists and an ace.
For Iroquois, which remains winless at 0-15, Niah Rogers had six ace serves in the game to lead the offense. Kaitlyn Maas and Katie Dubro each had a kill and both Hannah Hofhenke and Harley Nelson were credited with set assists.
JVC will play Hitchcock-Tulare in Wolsey on Thursday in the opening round of the 281 Conference Tournament, while Iroquois also opens Thursday against Sanborn Central-Woonsocket in Forestburg.

Miller 3, Chamberlain 1
MILLER — The second-ranked Miller Rustlers got contributions from several players Tuesday night, as they pushed their season record to 18-2 with a straight-sets pounding by the Chamberlain Cubs. Set scores for the Rustlers were 25-10, 25-10 and 25-21.
Kadye Fernholz had 15 kills to go with 11 digs for Miller, who also got 14 digs and an ace serve from Madison Wetz. Elise Brooks had four aces, while VonnaGail Schlecter added three aces and four kills. Rachel Oligmueller passed out 27 set assists in the game.
The Cubs were led by Mady Handel, who had four kills and a block. Hannah Anderson had three blocks on the night and Makenzy Mutziger had four assists and eight digs, Avany Long chipped in three kills and nine digs on the night, as the Cubs fall to 6-9 with the loss.
Miller returns to action Saturday, when it hosts Aberdeen Roncalli.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, SBA 0
MILLER — A 3-0 sweep by the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots claimed the win in a match against the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders, in Class “B” volleyball action on Tuesday night.
The Lady Patriots recorded set scores of 25-13, 25-8, 25-13 as the team improved to a record of 8-10, while the Crusaders fell to 0-12 on the season.
A total of ten kills and two aces by Dannyn Peterson led the Lady Patriots in the match, followed by Elizabeth Salmen with seven kills plus 15 digs, while Dawsyn Otto added two more aces.
Hannah Appel and Taylor Michaelis each recorded two aces for the Crusaders. Shariah Brockel hit four kills, while three kills each were hit by Beth Konechne and Lindsey Wilken for Sunshine Bible Academy.
The Lady Patriots are set to take on the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings at the 281 conference on Thursday, to be held in Wolsey.

Wessington Springs 3, Corsica-Stickney 2
WESSINGTON SPRINGS — The Wessington Springs Lady Spartans rallied for a 3-2 win over the Corsica-Stickney Jaguars on Tuesday night.
Set scores for Wessington Springs were 17-25, 17-25, 26-24, 25-20, 16-14, as the team now holds a 7-6 season record, while the Jaguars dropped to 4-8 with the loss.
Raven Barse led the Lady Spartans with 10 kills and two aces, while Lexi Tilton also recorded two aces, and Bridget Burke hit five kills to assists in the win.
Maddie Neely hit three aces and 16 kills to tally up the most player points of the match, while Chasity Vissia hit nine kills for the Corsica-Stickney Jaguars.
Wessington Springs will move on to compete at the 281 conference on Thursday, while the Jaguars host the Tripp-Delmont/Armour Nighthawks.
