REDFIELD — Glendon “Glen” Dayton Lutz, 81, of Redfield, passed away Sunday, July 21, 2019, at Avantara Redfield.
His memorial service, with military honors, will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, August 2, at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Redfield. He will be laid to rest with military honors at a later date in Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at Minneapolis, Minn.
Glendon “Glen” Dayton Lutz was born December 10, 1937, in Grant Township in Washington County, Minn. to Harry P. and Helen M. (Kotthoff) Lutz. He proudly served with the U.S. Navy for six years before his honorable discharge. He was united in marriage to Barbara J. Koel May 11, 1963. He spent his career at the VA Hospital in Fargo, N.D. where he worked in medical records and housekeeping.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara of Redfield; daughter, StarAnn (Claude) Hier of Redfield; five grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and brother, Don (Marvel) Lutz of Maplewood, Minn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Doug A. Lutz; seven sisters; and two brothers.
