Hanson, Ethan advance in 4B

Hanson 61, Sanborn Central-Woonsocket 32
HURON — The top seeded Region 4B Hanson Beaverettes advanced to the Sweet 16 rounds, after a dominating 61-32 win over the Sanborn Central-Woonsocket Blackhawks, at the regional semifinals held Thursday night at Huron Arena.
Hanson improved to a 19-3 record with the win, while Sanborn Central-Woonsocket ended it’s season with a 13-9 record.
Heather Kayser led the Beaverettes with 18, while Jada Campbell tallied 12 more points. Kayser and Brooke Weber led the rebounders with 10 each.
Tesa Jensen led the Blackhawks with nine points, Alissa Ball followed with eight points, while Abby Doering had five rebounds.

HURON — The Ethan Rustlers took a 58-30 win over the Howard Tigers, in the Region 4B girls’ basketball tournament, held Thursday night at Huron Arena.
Ethan, now improved to 20-2 on the season, were led by Karly Gustafson with 19 points and eight rebounds, while Cameryn Logan followed with 14 more.
Hilary Albrecht led Howard with nine points, Citori Rentz added seven points and three rebounds, while Kennedy Koespell tallied four more. Howard ended it’s season with a record of 13-9.
The Howard Tigers advance to the final Sweet 16 rounds after the win.
