FRANKFORT — Helen Louise (Hinkle) Simons, 94, of Frankfort, passed away at home under hospice care on Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
She chose cremation and no services. Hyke Funeral Home of Redfield has been entrusted with arrangements.
Helen Louise Hinkle was born Oct. 5, 1925, in Piney, Missouri, to Earl and Rose (Swartz) Hinkle.
She married Paul H. Schumm and together they raised three children.
She had many hobbies including crocheting, knitting, playing cards, hunting, riding her motorcycle, and traveling when she had the chance. She was a wonderful cook and baker. She will be greatly missed by many.
She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Brummett of Frankfort; nine stepchildren, Tom, John, Carroll, Sam and Leo Simons, Marjorie Littlefield, Roseanne Bernard, Judith Minnich, and Laura Simon; nine grandchildren,
eight great-grandchildren, 23 great-great-grandchildren and 21 step great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; all her siblings; two sons, Paul Schumm II and LeRoy Schumm; and one grandson.
