SIOUX FALLS — June Hoeye, 91, of Sioux Falls, passed away Thursday, October 18, 2018, at Bethany Home in Sioux Falls.
Private family services will be held.
June Irene Tilbury was born June 17, 1927, in Mankato, Minn., to George and Hazel (Bates) Tilbury. As a young child the family moved around with her father’s work. The family settled in Esmond where she received her education.
She was united in marriage to Gene Hoeye in 1944, in Esmond. He entered the Army and she continued to work in the area moving to Huron. They spent one year at Lake Benton, Minn. before moving to Sioux Falls during 1958 and 1959. In Sioux Falls she worked in housekeeping at Sioux Valley Hospital for a few years and later worked at the Barrel Drive-Inn. She operated an in-home day care for several years.
She is survived by her children, Kandy Hoeye of Sioux Falls, Jeannie (Don) Victor of Rapid City, Donna (Bob) Juber of Eldora, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Carol (Dan) McKillop of Gillette, Wyo., Helen Button of Huron; and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceeded in death by her husband; sons, James, Gary, and Damon; and siblings, Edith, Avis, Cliff, Eva, Delores, and Gerald.
