SANTA MONICA, Calf. — Linda Ann Woldt Rider, 70, of Santa Monica, Calif., passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018, at Broadway Manor at Glendale, Calif.
Linda was born November 27, 1947, in Madison to George and Lillian Woldt. She attended McKinley Elementary School and graduated from Huron High School in 1965. Ready to see more of the world, she moved to Colorado for a short time, then in 1970 on to Salt Lake City, Utah, and in the early ‘80s, she found her home in Santa Monica, California.
Having a great love of animals she always had a full house of her four footed friends. Over the years, Linda with her beautiful daughter, Denise, made many trips back to S.D. to visit family and friends. She was kind, loving and generous. She loved the beach and was a huge Elvis fan. She moved several times in recent years but always remained a California girl at heart.
She is survived by her daughter, Denise Rider of Calif.; three siblings and their families, Garland “Dick” and Garnett Woldt of Minn., William “Bill” and Song Hui Woldt of Ohio, and Ralph “Joey” and PJ Woldt of S.D.; and 12 nieces and nephews.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Woldt; and sister, Fran Marie Haugen.
Linda was a daughter, a sibling, a wife, a mother and a friend. She was loved by many and will be truly missed. Her spirit will live on and her memory will never be forgotten.
