Seventh-grade
WATERTOWN — Huron’s seventh-grade volleyball teams swept Watertown in a pair of matches on Monday.
The Tigers used set scores of 25-15 and 25-23 to win the A-match.
Kya Tschetter was 10 of 11 serving with five aces and Isabelle Kremer was 7 of 8 serving with five aces to lead Huron. Natalie Kinsley had four aces on 5 of 7 serving, while Ava Wambach had three aces on 5 of 7 serving.
Tschetter was also 5 of 6 attacking with three kills, while Kremer had three kills on 4 of 5 attacks for the Tigers. Camdyn Fuchs had two kills on a pair of attacks, while Jaelee Olson was 4 of 6 attacking with a kill.
Huron used set scores of 25-17 and 25-9 to win the B-match.
Jeriann Ferfen was perfect on 20 serves with nine aces to lead the Tigers. Lilliana Miller had six aces on 8 of 8 serves and Olivia Purintun had three aces on 10 of 11 serving.
Ferfen also had the lone kill for the Tigers.
Huron will host Aberdeen Central on Thursday.
Eighth-grade
WATERTOWN — Huron’s eighth-grade volleyball team recorded a sweep against Watertown on Monday.
Huron won the A-match with set scores of 25-8 and 25-19 to improve to 3-0.
Ali Davis was 4 of 5 attacking with four kills for the Tigers. Jencie Goergen was 4 of 6 with 4 kills, while Hylton Heinz was 2 of 2 with two kills and Ava Ulvestad was 2 of 3 with 2 kills.
Heinz recorded eight aces on 16 of 19 serving, while Hailey Rogers had two aces on 8 of 10 serving.
Goergen and Davis each had a pair of aces on 3 of 4 serves.
Heinz and Goergen each had six assists.
Huron won the B-match with scores of 28-26 and 26-24.
Adisyn Zavesky had two kills for the Tigers.
