ABERDEEN — Aberdeen Roncalli swept the doubles competition en route to a 7-2 victory against the Huron girls’ tennis team on Tuesday.
Megan Clark at No. 2 and Kayla Harvey at No. 3 earned singles wins for the Tigers.
Clark used set scores of 6-3 and 6-4 to get past Mariah Brandner, while Harvey used the same scores to get past Abby Hanson.
“The girls played well in singles and had several competitive matches,” Huron coach Leah Branaugh said. “Our doubles play needs to pick up a little bit and we need to work on our net play to turn some of these matches around.”
Next up for Huron will be the Brookings Jamboree at 9 a.m. on Saturday.
The Tigers will make their home debut at 4 p.m. Monday against Harrisburg.
