HURON — Thomas M. Ames, 61, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, October 10, 2020 at his home.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Thomas Manley Ames was born November 13, 1958, to John and Darleen (Stam) Ames in Huron.
He entered the United States Army in March of 1979, and was honorably discharged in February of 1983.
He received a Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon and Army Commendation Medal.
Tom married Debra Baysinger May 2, 1990 in Huron.
He is survived by his wife; children, Sunshine Lenning-Keefe (Dale), Breeze Lenning (fiancé Chad Vaughn), and Zachariah Lenning; four grandchildren; sister, Jill (Kevin) Minske; and brother, Martin Ames; and his mother, Darlene Ames.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Elizabeth; aunts and grandparents.
