HURON – The Huron Tigers cheer and dance team had its only home invite of the season, with eight teams competing.
Sioux Falls Washington took home the grand champion in dance with 270.25 points, beating out Harrisburg, who finished with 264.5 points. Huron finished sixth with 215 points.
Sioux Falls Washington had the high score in the Jazz portion of the dance competition, while Harrisburg led the hip hop portion and Yankton paced the pom.
Huron scored 168 points in the cheer competition, but would not factor in the top placing as Harrisburg far outpaced the competition, finishing with 248 points. Watertown finished second with 231 points.
Huron travels to Sioux Falls Tuesday for the O’Gorman Invitational.
