FLANDREAU — Timothy G. Kuschel, 59, of Flandreau, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Avera Flandreau Hospital.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday at Skroch Funeral Chapel in Flandreau with visitation from 12 p.m., until service time.
Timothy was born at La Crosse, Wisc., on December 5, 1962, to Glenn and Sharon (Kateley) Kuschel. They moved to Minneapolis when he was three years old and then to Huron in 1979, where he graduated from high school.
Tim joined the SD Army National Guard in Huron which he was a member of for many years. He worked at several jobs and then was married to Jean Davis on January 9, 2004, in Brookings. They lived in White and he worked at Quality Tool in Brookings until his death.
Tim moved to Flandreau in 2017, where they have continued to make their home. Tim enjoyed motorcycling, working in the yard, fishing, hunting, collecting guns and doing fixup work and was known for his sociability. He was formerly a Red Cross Volunteer and a Patriot Guard Rider.
Tim is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons, Keith of Huron and Mitchell of Iroquois; three step-children, Cory (Rachel) Krueger of Arlington, Stephanie (Eric) Markwed of Aurora and Thomas (Andrea) Krueger of Huron; five grandchildren, Lee, Claire, Audrina, Leon and Oakleigh; his parents, Glenn and Sharon Kuschel of Sioux Falls; a sister, Amy (Kevin) VanDiepen of Huron; and a brother, Michael (Michelle) Kuschel of Mt. Vernon, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
