HURON — Virginia Rist, 95, of Huron, passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2017.
Her funeral service will be 11 a.m., Monday, July 10, at the American Lutheran Church. Burial will be in the Restlawn Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Kuhler Funeral Home with her family present form 5 to 7 p.m. 
Virginia Wilson was born February 24, 1922, at Hayti to Andrew J. and Mina (Roalstad) Wilson. She graduated from Hayti High School. In 1943, she graduated from South Dakota State University with a history major, a music minor, her teaching credentials and a BA degree.
She was united in marriage to Paul R. Rist June 5, 1943. The family moved to Huron in 1966. She was a member of the American Lutheran Church, Federated Music Study Club, Toastmistress, League of Women Voters, and NARFE. 
She is survived by children, Mary (Marty) Bolger of Newbury Park, Calif., Susan Jennerjahn and Cathy Rist of Huron, and Andy Rist of Meriden, Iowa; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Mary of Viborg, and Arlene of Minnesota; and two nephews; and one niece.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul; sisters, Agnes and Vera Ann, and their husbands ,Tryg and Irwin; brothers-in-law,  Cliff, Vic, Marty and Don; sisters-in-law, Mildred and Esther.
Her family prefers memorials be made to the American Lutheran Church.
