OMAHA, Neb. — Cathleen Ann Cliffton, 67, of Omaha, Neb., passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, following a long battle with pancreatic cancer.

Funeral services are Saturday, Aug. 17, at 10 a.m., with visitation an hour prior to service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Omaha, Neb.

Forest Lawn Funeral Home will livestream the service.

Cathy was born July 12, 1957, in Huron, to Leslie and Lula (Horsley) Wedge. Cathy’s greatest joy in life was being a wife and mother. She was dedicated to her family and loved them very much. In her free time, Cathy enjoyed going for walks, serving and participating in Bible Study Fellowship, and spending quality time with others. She was also selfless and dedicated to caring for others. This was evident in her actions as she was always the first to volunteer her time and effort to various service projects. The most foundational and formative thing in Cathy’s life was her relationship with Jesus Christ and her faith impacted every area of her life.

She is survived by her loving husband, Tom; her son, Mark Cliffton; a daughter, Erin Gabriel, and her husband Seth; brothers Gary Wedge and wife Sandy; Kenneth Wedge and wife Dianne; brother-in-law, Mike Cliffton and wife, Arlene; and numerous other family and friends.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Leslie Wedge; mother Lula Wedge; sister Donna Bartels; brother-in-law, Ron Bartels; nephew, Timmy Wedge; and several aunts and uncles.
