Huron JV golfers fifth in Watertown

WATERTOWN — The Huron junior varsity boys’ golf team finished fifth on Tuesday in Watertown.

Watertown Purple won the event with a score of 308, while Mitchell was second at 324.

Rounding out the field of teams were Yankton at 329, Watertown Gold at 342 and Huron at 403.

Jack Mack of Watertown and Brady Reiners of Mitchell shared the top spot in the individual standings with scores of 74.

Gavin Neynes of Watertown Purple was third at 76, while Tyson Lawrence of Watertown Gold and Ashton Rabine of Watertown Purple shared the fourth spot with scores of 78.

Remi Wipf led Huron with a 95, which put him 22nd in the final standings.

Ben Kleinsasser shot a 97 for the Tigers, while Emrick DeDeyne and Conner Dragt finished at 102 and 109, respectively.

Rounding out the lineup for Huron were David Emmert at 114 and Sam Radke at 128.
