WATERTOWN — Michael R. Miller of Watertown and formerly of Huron, passed away at the age of 75, on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 in Watertown.

His Celebration of Life is from 1 to 6 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 25, at Cloud 9, 625 20th Ave SE in Watertown.

Michael Ray Miller was born December 26, 1948, in Quincy, Ill., to Ray and Lois (Tenvorde) Miller. He grew up in Quincy, graduating from Quincy Senior High School and then attended Gem City College in Quincy.

On August 26, 1970 he married Nita L. Christensen and they were blessed with two sons, Chris and Kevin.

Michael was a jeweler who owned and operated Miller’s Jewelry in Huron for more than 45 years. He also repaired clocks and jewelry in his store.

He was a member of the Huron Elks Club and Huron Country Club.

Michael enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing pool and hunting pheasants.
Grateful to have shared in Michael’s life are his sons, Chris (Janelle) Miller of Watertown, and Kevin (Denise) Miller of Strandburg; five grandchildren, Dakota (Jason) Kalsbeck, Montana Larsen, Derek Miller, Connor Miller and Rylan Miller.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Nita; his parents, Ray and Lois Miller; and his father and mother in-law, Jens and Lucille Christensen.
