HURON When school began last summer, Huron High School librarian Rachel Kary hung a line-art poster on the wall near the south entry to the high school library.
We see a lot of students in the libary during the course of a day, Kary said. The poster is a way for anyone to take a minute or a few minutes, hang out here and contribute to the artwork.
Over the course of the school year – which ends today – students grabbed a marker from two containers with a wide array of colors, and made a part of the large poster all theirs.
Kary told the Huron School Board that she encourages the students to use the library, to study, to work on projects or just to relax for a bit.
She pointed out some other student artwork on the walls of the library as well.
They kids have just had a lot of fun with this! she said.
