HURON Do you have useable items in your home, garage or storage facility that you no longer need? Are you willing to let someone else, who needs it to have it?
Is there a certain something that you really need in your home?
The Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureaus Share It Day on Saturday could solve both problems.
The premise is simple – leave items that you are willing to share on the curb at your home on Saturday, June 15, for others to take if needed.
Likewise, if there is something needed, check out items that others have left and see if there is something that will work for you.
The Chamber has established a Facebook page – Facebook.com/huronshareitday – for people to go online and list items that they will put out for sharing, or to put out feelers for items that are wanted.
Joan Hull put this idea out a couple years ago, said Huron Chamber CEO and president Laurie Shelton. She thought it was a great way for the community to connect.
The Facebook page is only up for this event. Items should be placed on the curb by 7 a.m. and unclaimed items should be removed Saturday evening, after 9 p.m.
