HURON The first annual United Way Lucky Duck Derby was held Saturday at Splash Central in Huron.
Numbered rubber ducks were dumped into the lazy river and raced around the course (with assistance from volunteers to ensure none got off track). Four heat races led to a final race and winners took home notable prizes.
Heat sponsors were Lewis, Runnings, Walmart, Valvoline, and Zach and Rachael Olson. The event was presented by Edward Jones of Huron.

$250 Lewis gift card – Mike Tordoff
$200 Runnings gift card – Rainbow Flower Shop
$100 Walmart gift card – Deanna Helvik
$100 gift cards to Valvoline Instant Oil Change – Megan Hine and Wanda Barthelman
