The final preparations were being made Friday on the Dakota Ave. reconstruction work from Market St. through the 3rd St. intersection.
Beginning Wednesday of next week, the initial roadwork will be done to construct the driving lane and parking on each side of the road while leaving what will become the center lane open for equipment movement during the process.
The center lane will then be filled in to complete the road-building portion of the project. Sidewalks and intersection bump-outs will be done after the road is complete.
The full section is expected to be completed in roughly a month.
