BROOKINGS The Huron Tiger middle school volleyball teams ended the regular season on a down note Thursday, falling in five matches against the Brookings Bobcats.
7th grade
Hurons 7th grade volleyball team fell in three matches.
The A team dropped sets by scores of 25-18 and 25-17, despite three kills and an ace from Alyssa Urena, along with two kills and two aces from Arianna James.
The Tiger B team lost by scores of 25-19 and 25-12, and were led by Bricia Millers two aces in the match.
The C match went to the Bobcats 25-7, 25-11. Huron was led by Taelyn Larson with a pair of aces in the match.
8th grade
The Tiger 8th graders dropped the A match in three sets, with scores of 22-25, 25-19 and 15-9 for Brookings, while the B team fell 25-13 and 25-11, while C team scores were 25-12 and 25-8 for Brookings.
Hurons A team was led by Arian Pfitzer;s eight kills and two aces, while Both Autumn Seidschlag and Jayla Schley had a pair of kills. Talley Hins also had two aces and Ramsey Rozelle had 12 set assists.
The B team got two kills each from Rebeccah Htoo, Lana Sharry, Andrea Estrada and Laney Marshall. Jesse Mattke had two aces and Sharry had six assists in the match.
Tiger B and C teams have seen their season end, while both classs A teams will finish the season Saturday at the Big 4 Tournament, set to begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Huron Middle School and the Nordby Center.
