Miller 3, Highmore-Harrold 0
MILLER The Class A fourth-ranked Miller Rustlers finished out a dominant regular season with a 25-18, 25-7, 25-15 sweep of the Highmore-Harrold Pirates at the Miller Armory on Tuesday.

The Rustlers finish the year with a 26-1 record behind a big serving night that saw 10 aces as a team. Paige Werdel led the serving with four aces on 13 of 15 serving. Jolie Palmer had three aces on 10 of 12 serving. Palmer also led the defense with 12 digs.

Aleah Schlechter led the Miller attack with nine kills on 16 of 18 hitting. Gracen Werdel added seven kills on 13 of 15 hitting and also added two aces on 8 of 10 serving. Olivia Resel had 27 assists.

The Pirates finish the year 10-17. Brooklyn Baloun had nine assists and also had one ace on 7 of 7 serving. Callie Chavez and Lainee Ping each had 10 digs.

Miller won the JV match 25-13 and 25-20.

Wolsey-Wessington 3, Faulkton Area 2
WOLSEY The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds had to come back from down two sets to one, but they won the fourth set and then dominated the fifth to end the season with a victory over the Faulkton Area Trojans on Tuesday in Wolsey.

The Lady Warbirds move to 22-7 with set scores of 22-25, 25-13, 21-25, 25-20, and 15-3.

Samara Clemente had a huge game for the home squad, with 18 kills on 33 of 38 hitting along with eight kills. Tatum Luce had 12 kills on 32 of 37 hitting and turned back five hits.

Timber Haeder had 12 kills on 28 of 35 hitting and also had 17 digs on defense. Shae Uttecht had 31 digs and also was 12 of 13 serving with an ace. Kendal Uttecht set up the attack with 51 assists.

The Trojans finish the year 13-16. Anna Aesoph had 34 digs, and Carley Cotton added 29 digs. Claire Cotton set up the offense with 35 assists.

Jaymi Senn and Presleigh Martinmaas each had eight kills to lead the Trojan attack.

Redfield 3, Tiospa Zina 0
AGENCY VILLAGE The Redfield Pheasants swept the Tiospa Zina Wambdi in their final game of the season Tuesday at Tiospa Zina Tribal School in Agency Village.

Redfield moved to 6-19 with set scores of 25-13, 25-16, and 25-10.

The Pheasants were led on the attack by Cecilia Suchor with nine kills on 13 of 18 hitting. Kinley Smith had eight kills on 21 of 23 hitting.

Layla Hardie led Redfield with four aces on 8 of 8 serving. Hayden Gall had 27 assists on 55 of 55 setting and also had an ace on 13 of 13 serving.

The Wambdi finish the season with a 7-25 record.

Redfield will participate in Class A Region 1 on Tuesday.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Wessington Springs 0
WESSINGTON SPRINGS In a season-closing 281 Conference regular season matchup, the Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots swept past the Wessington Springs Lady Spartans by set scores of 25-8, 25-9, and 25-15 Tuesday in Wessington Springs.

The Lady Patriots, ranked third in Class B, finish the season with a 26-2 record. Katelyn Schroeder had 16 kills on 33 of 37 hitting. Lila Johnson set up the offense with 28 assists and also had six aces on 19 of 21 serving.

Cambree Hoekman paced the H-T defense with 19 digs. Rebecca Huizenga had 10 kills on 18 of 20 hitting.

The Lady Spartans finish with a 14-14 record. Kendall Kolousek led the attack with four kills and had 15 digs. Mariah Messmer had 11 assists.

Hamlin 3, Clark/Willow Lake 2
WILLOW LAKE In a matchup of two of the top unranked teams in Class A volleyball, the Hamlin Chargers won a tough five-set match over the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones Tuesday in Willow Lake.

The Chargers won with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 24-26, 25-23, and 15-12.

Hamlin moves to 22-1. No individual statistics were available.

Shay Michalski led the Cyclones, who finish the year 17-7, with 25 kills on 37 of 40 hitting along with five blocks. Kate Larson set up the offense with 16 digs and had two aces on 17 of 17 serving.

Shelby Begeman had 11 kills on 28 of 34 hitting and a pair of blocks. Sami Brenden had 51 assists.

Both teams will kick off postseason action on Tuesday.
