Area girls earn placings at State Wrestling Tournament

SIOUX FALLS — Clark/Willow Lake had a trio of place winners, while Huron and Kingsbury County each had a pair of place winners during the State Girls’ Wrestling Tournament, which concluded Saturday at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.

Kadee Frankfurth was third for Clark/Willow Lake at 105 pounds. The junior decisioned Harper Gibson of Tri-Valley 8-7 in her final match to finish the season at 36-7.

Naomi Miller was fourth for Clark/Willow Lake at 135, while Emma Bochek was sixth at 115.

Chalie Sah at 110 and Kolby Glanzer at 145 were eighth for Huron.

Jaidyn Giedd at 170 was fifth for Kingsbury County, while teammate Izy Bendorf was seventh at 125.

Canton claimed the girls’ team title with 169 points, while Watertown was second at 131.5. Spearfish was third at 104, followed by Bon Homme/Scotland/Avon at 94.5 and Madison at 90.

Clark/Willow Lake finished 14th at 50.
