HURON — Six area basketball players competed in the South Dakota Basketball Coaches Association Sanford Pentagon All-Star Basketball Games, which were held Sunday.
De Smet’s Hazel Luethmers had 13 points to help the White team to a 104-94 victory against the Blue team in the girls’ game.
Ashlyn Koupal had 25 points to lead the White team, while Marissa Storm had 22 points.
Sanborn Central/Woonsocket’s Liz Boschee had 13 points for the Blue team, while Hylton Heinz of Huron had nine points.
Blake Thompson led the Blue team with 24 points, while Alyvia Padgett had 18 points.
Colby Flowers of Wessington Springs had 10 points in a 121-105 win for the Blue in the boys’ game.
Colton Smith and Sam DeGroot each had 28 points to lead the Blue team. Marvin Richards III had 23 points, while Paxton Deal had 12 points and Will Kuhl had 10 points.
Grant Wilkinson of De Smet had 16 points for the White team, while Parker Graff of Wessington Springs also reached double figures with 11 points.
Trey Hansen led the White team with 21 points, while Riley Casey and Tatum Sorensen had 14 and 13 points, respectively.
