HURON — The Huron boys’ tennis team emerged with a split in a pair of Eastern South Dakota Conferenc matches on Saturday at Huron Courts.
Watertown inked an 8-1 victory against the Tigers. Huron closed the day with a 7-2 victory against Pierre.
Lah Gay Soe and Ywa Hae Moo combined for the lone win for the Tigers against Watertown. They won the No. 2 doubles match 10-8.
Huron won five of the six singles matches against the Governors.
Winning singles matches for the Tigers were Htoo Zan at No. 1; Soe at No. 2, Moo at No. 4, Riley Winegar at No. 5 and Jeremiah Notario at No. 6.
Soe and Moo won their second doubles match of the day at No. 2 for Huron, whie Winegar and Jim Wah combined for the win in No. 3 doubes against Pierre.
On Monday, Sioux Falls Christian and Harrisburg recorded sweeps against the Tigers at Huron Courts.
Huron will host Aberdeen Central and Yankton at 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday at Huron Courts.
