HURON –– The Huron Chamber and Visitors Bureau Governmental Affairs Committee is hosting a day of election forums on Saturday, May 9, to prepare for the primary election as well as the municipal and school board election, all to be held on June 2.
The forums begin at 9 a.m. Four local elections will be featured, beginning with the School Board election between incumbent Shelly Siemonsma and challenger Sarah Meirose.
Also featured will be the city commission race between Drew Weinreis and Josh Carr. Two county commission races, for District 1 and District 3.
