SIOUX FALLS — Clark/Willow Lake is tied for sixth in the girls’ standings after the first two days of the Class A State Track and Field Meet, on Friday at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
The Cyclones have 19 points to share the sixth spot with Flandreau. Sioux Falls Christian has amassed 81 points to nearly double the points earned by the next closest team. Lennox is second at 41, followed by Custer at 36, Dakota Valley at 25.83 and Elk Point-Jefferson at 20.
The Clark/Willow Lake girls were fourth in the medley relay at 4:11.50. Comprising the team were Jennifer Bevers, Johanna Vandersnick, Cadence Bochek and Kamryn Nesheim.
Bochek reached the finals in the 400-meter race for the Cyclones by finishing sixth in the prelims at 59.05.
Nesheim placed seventh in the 3,200 for Clark/Willow Lake with a time of 11:30.61.
Isaak Hunter qualified for the final in the 110 hurdles for Miller. He was sixth in the prelims at 15.54.
Bo Begeman was seventh in the triple jump for Clark/Willow Lake at 42-0.5, while Michael Severson was eighth for the Cyclones in the shot put at 50-1.75.
Sioux Falls Christian led the boys’ standings entering the final day with 63 points. Lennox was second at 31.5, while Hill City and Milbank shared the third spot with scores of 29.
Today’s final day of competition is slated to begin at 9 a.m.
