WESSINGTON — Charleigh Brewer of Wessington opened the spring rodeo season by winning the junior girls’ all-around during two of three Little Britches Rodeos in Rapid City.
In the first round on Friday, Brewer won the goat tying.
She won the goat tying and breakaway roping in the second rodeo on Saturday, while finishing second in ribbon roping and pole bending.
During the third rodeo on Sunday, Brewer placed in seven events. She was first in ribbon roping, second in team roping and third in barrels.
Brewer has qualified for the National Little Britches Rodeo in six of her seven events. She is currently ranked third nationally in the goat tying event.
