REDFIELD — The Redfield-Doland Pheasants won the first two sets of the match, watched the Clark-Willow Lake Cyclones come back and take sets three and four, then rebounded to take the fifth and deciding set, and the match, Friday night.
Scores for the Pheasants, now 17-6 on the season, were 25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 25-27 and 15-9.
R-D was led offensively by Olivia Shantz with 19 kills, while Kailee Clausen added eight kills, had three aces and contributed 24 digs to the Pheasant defensive effort. Hannah Kuehn had 25 set assists in the match, while Addie Rozell had four solo blocks and two ace serves.
Janae Kolden had 14 kills and Abbie Bratland added 11 kills and a block for the Cyclones, who drop to 16-9 with the loss. Taylor Hartley had a match-high 29 assists, contributed an ace and had 17 defensive digs, as did teammate Allison Kannegeiter.
Redfield-Doland travels to Wolsey-Wessington tonight, while Clark-Willow Lake will close the regular season on the road in Sisseton, tonight as well.
