HURON — In a 281 conference regular season clash, the Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds swept the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings on the road Friday 25-21, 25-10, 25-19.
The Lady Warbirds move to 3-5 on the season behind a strong night from Mya Boomsma on the attack with 16 kills on 38-of-44 attacks. Boomsma also recorded 12 digs.
Leah Williams was 25-of-28 attacking on the night for Wolsey-Wessington with 10 kills. Hailey Clarke led the
Lady Warbirds with 20 assists while Lainey Uttecht paced the team with 18 digs.
Alyssa Hiles went 12 of 14 from the service line for Wolsey-Wessington with three aces.
The Lady Vikings (2-5) were led by a strong all-around game from Brenna Held, who posted seven kills, six blocks, and was 7-of-8 serving with an ace.
Karilyn Wieting led James Valley Christian with 14 assists and Olivia Rink had a team-high eight digs.
James Valley Christian hosts Iroquois/Doland on Tuesday. Wolsey-Wessington travels to Lake Preston today.
