MILLER — Waylon Bolle rushed for three touchdowns to lead Corsica-Stickney to a 44-0 victory against Sunshine Bible Academy on Friday.

The Jaguars, who are in the also-receiving-votes category of the Class 9B rankings, scored 24 points in the opening half.
Caden Baumiller openined the scoring with a 39-yard touchdown run for Corsica-Stickney with 8:22 remaining in the first quarter.

Baumiller found the end zone again at the 4:29 mark of the opening quarter on a 48-yard run to make it 16-0.

Bolle’s first touchdown came with 1:36 remaining in the first quarter on a 47-yard run. He then added touchdowns on runs of 83 and 25 yards in the second quarter.

Scoring the other touchdown of the second quarter for the Jaguars was Tate Tolsma on a 35-yard pass from Max VandenHoek.

Bolle finished with 171 of the 303 yards rushing in the game for Corsica-Stickney.

Baumiller had 92 yards on three carries, while Sawyer Schmidt added 40 yards on seven carries.

VandenHoek’s lone completion on two passing attempts accounted for the 35-yard touchdown for the Jaquars.

Defensively, VandenHoek and Baumiller each had an interception for Corsica-Stickney, which improved to 4-2.

Sunshine Bible Academy managed just 40 yards of total offense in the game, with 38 of those coming on the ground.

Carter Crump had nine carries for 18 yards to lead the Crusaders, while Seth Konechne had six carries for 15 yards.

Toby Mickelson was 1 of 6 passing for two yards for SBA. Jacob Hadden had the lone catch.

Hunter Sybesma and Mickelson each had 10 tackles to lead the Crusaders.

Ross Vander Vorst recorded eight tackles, while Konechne and Jimmy Burma had six and five tackles, respectively.

Burma also had a fumble recovery.

SBA (2-5) is now off until Oct. 18, when it closes the regular season with a home game against Sully Buttes.

Corsica-Stickney is at Burke on Friday.
