BELLE FOURCHE — Kendell Craig Stevens, 76, of Belle Fourche passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, following a long cancer journey.

Kendell was born in Huron, to Kenneth George “Mac” and Ramona Muriel (Reintsma) Stevens, the third of six children. He married Janie Ann Gross on January 9, 1971, and to this union were born two sons, Jason Lee and Jon Henry Stevens.

Kendell never met a stranger and worked as a truck driver most of his life. He could talk to anybody. He enjoyed woodworking and working on his many cars and trucks through the years.

Fortunate to have shared his life are his survivors, wife, Janie of the home, sons, Jason Stevens of the home and Jon (Chad Igl) Stevens of Raymore, Mo.; brothers and sisters, Vicki (Howard) Ross of Belle Fourche, Nathan Stevens of Huron, Stephen (Mary Jane) Stevens of Huron, and Penny (Fred) Jones of Spearfish, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, nephews, Cory Jones and Gerald “Skip” Geyerman, and sister, Lana Reinhardt.

A memorial visitation is Monday, July 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Kline Funeral Chapel in Belle Fourche. Inurnment will take place at Pine Slope Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Belle Fourche Volunteer Fire Department.
