LOVELAND, Colo. –– Darrell Dean Bittner, 77, of Loveland, Colo., and formerly of Huron, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026, at Boulder Post Acute in Boulder, Colo A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
He was born on January 10, 1949, in Huron, to Erven and Bertha (Diede) Bittner. Darrell grew up in Huron and graduated from Huron High School with the class of 1967.
On June 8, 1969, Darrell married the love of his life, Barbara Johnson. Together, they moved to Loveland, Colo., where they built their life and raised their family. Darrell and Barbara shared 57 beautiful years of marriage.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his children, Chad and Diana, and their spouses; five cherished grandchildren; and one great-grandson. Darrell is also survived by his sister, Mary Pearson and family, and his brother-in-law, Steve Walter and sons.
