Huron assistant wrestling coach Tom Baszler is retiring at the end of the current season after spending the past 20 years coaching the Tigers. Baszler, center, coached 96 state place winners, 33 state finalists, 14 state champions and two All-Americans. He has helped the Tigers to 10 top-8 finishes at the state tournament, two Eastern South Dakota Conference titles and two ESD runner-up finishers. In 2005 Baszler was named as the Assistant Wrestling Coach of the Year by the South Dakota Wrestling Coaches Association. He is flanked at left by former Huron wrestling coach Dan McCarty and current head wrestling coach Matt Goth at right.
