Huron Middle School volleyball 10-14

HURON — The Huron seventh-grade volleyball team finished with a split in two matches against Pierre on Saturday.
The Tigers won the A-match with set scores of 18-25, 25-16 and 15-11.
Adison Moore had six aces on 17 of 19 serving, while going 6 of 10 hitting to lead Huron. Maddie Jurgens was 10 of 12 serving with an ace, while Kirsten DeGeest was 5 of 7 serving with two aces and Roxy Glanzer was 4 of 6 serving with a pair of aces.

Glanzer also had a kill on 1 of 3 hitting, while Alexis Ziegeldorf was 4 of 7 serving with an ace and Hannah Purintun was 3 of 5 serving, with an ace.
Pierre won the B-match with set scores of 25-20 and 25-16.
Aurora Dreyer had six aces for Huron on 7 of 11 serving, while DeGeest was 3 of 6 from the service line and Madelyn Grace was 1 of 6 serving with an ace.
Sophia Klich and Molly Reese were both 1 of 1 hitting for the Tigers.
The Huron seventh-graders will travel to play Brookings on Thursday.
