Huron vaulters record victories in Brookings meet

BROOKINGS — A pair of Huron vaulters claimed titles during the BHS Alumni Qualifier on Monday.
Reagan Rozell turned in a vault of 9 feet, 6 inches to win the girls’ pole vault, while teammate Caley Coss was eighth at 7-9.
Matt Katz claimed the top spot in the boys’ pole vault for the Tigers, with a mark of 12-9. Rei Hoops shared the fifth spot, clearing 10-9.
Mason Small was third in the boys’ triple jump for Huron with a mark of 41-0.25, while Alex Hill was seventh at 38-7.
Teegan Evers was fourth for the Tigers in the boys’ high jump at 5-10.
Josiah Savory and Hayden White were seventh and eighth, respectively, in the 110-meter hurdles with times of 18.64 and 18.65.
Abbie DeJong was fourth for the Huron girls in the high jump at 4-8.
Tenley Buddenhagen was fifth in the 400 at 1:04.62, while Sami Shoultz was fifth in the 800 at 2:27.96.
Next up for the Tigers is the Yankton Invitational at 1 p.m. on Friday.
