Miller volleyball team wins Central South Dakota Tournament

MILLER — The Miller Rustlers, who are the No. 2-ranked team in Class A, went 3-0 to win the Central South Dakota Tournament on Saturday.
Miller used set wins of 25-9 and 25-6 to get past Sunshine Bible Academy in its opening match.
The Rustlers then swept Wolsey-Wessington with scores of 25-21 and 25-13.
Miller then defeated Faulkton Area 25-14 and 25-19 in its final match.
Josi Stevens, VonnaGail Schlechter and Kadye Fernholz were named to the all-tournament team for the Rustlers.
After suffering the setback to Miller, Wolsey-Wessington rebounded to defeat Potter County 25-16, 14-25 and 25-21. Sully Buttes got past the Lady Warbirds 25-18, 26-28 and 25-20.
Miller, which is now 17-2, host Chamberlain on Tuesday. Wolsey-Wessington, which is 6-4, will be the second seed for the 281 Conference Tournament and will face seventh-seeded Sunshine Bible Academy at 6 p.m. Thursday in the opening round in Wolsey.
