WATERTOWN – The second-seeded Sioux Falls Flyers team was nothing if not consistent, scoring four goals in each period en route to a 12-2 romp of the Huron Lady All-Stars Friday in Watertown.
Scoring for the Lady All Stars was Kylee Small in the first period on a power play goal, assisted by Fatima Reyes. Small’s goal tied the score at 1-1 at the time, but Sioux Falls would finish the period with three more goals to go up 4-1.
Devin Hunter opened the second period with Huron’s second goal to make it 4-2, but that was the end of the Huron scoring as the Flyers would finish the game with eight unanswered goals in the victory.
Marissa Ready was under fire all afternoon, making 28 saves.
The Lady All-Stars will face Watertown in the consolation bracket at 11:30 a.m. today.
