HURON — The first annual United Way Lucky Duck Derby was held Saturday at Splash Central in Huron.

Numbered rubber ducks were dumped into the lazy river and raced around the course (with assistance from volunteers to ensure none got off track). Four heat races led to a final race and winners took home notable prizes.

Heat sponsors were Lewis, Runnings, Walmart, Valvoline, and Zach and Rachael Olson. The event was presented by Edward Jones of Huron.
