Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 3, Sunshine Bible Academy 0
WOONSOCKET — The Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks swept past the Sunshine Bible Academy Crusaders in straight sets Tuesday in 281 Conference regular season action in Woonsocket.

Kaylie Robinson had four aces, four kills, and a block to lead SCW, who move to 13-7. Tatiana Roberts also had four aces.

Alexa Goertz, Addison Bartholow, and Liz Boschee each added four kills as Kali Hofer and Kenzie Schley set up the offense with nine and five assists, respectively. Kenzie Baruth led the defense with six digs.

The Crusaders fall to 0-19. Natasha Appel was 4 of 4 serving with two aces and also recorded two kills on 10 of 12 hitting.

The Blackhawks will travel to Armour to face Tripp-Delmont/Armour Thursday while SBA will host Iroquois/Lake Preston.

Miller 3, Mount Vernon/Plankinton 1
PLANKINTON — The Miller Rustlers, ranked 4th in Class A volleyball in South Dakota, pushed their season record to 18-1 Tuesday night, with a closely played 3-1 win over the Mount Vernon/Plankinton Titans in non-conference volleyball action.

Set scores for the Rustlers were 26-24, 23-25, 25-20 and 26-24.

Gracen Werdel had 14 kills and three aces to pace the offense for Miller, which also got 11 kills each from Aleah Schlechter and Paige Werdel. Jolie Palmer had three aces and led the defense with 37 digs in the match and Olivia Resel controlled the offense with 43 assists.

No stats were available for the Titans, who fall to 16-5 with the loss,

Miller hosts Class B power Hitchcock-Tulare on Thursday night in a battle of Heartland heavyweights.

Great Plains Lutheran 3, Clark/Willow Lake 1

CLARK — The Great Plains Lutheran Panthers move to 16-3 with a four-set victory over the Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones Tuesday in Clark.

Set scores for the Panthers were 25-23, 14-25, 25-15 and 25-16.

No individual statistics were available for Great Plains Lutheran.

The Cyclones fall to 12-6 despite 11 kills from both Shay Michalski and Shelby Begeman. Michalski was 16 of 19 hitting.

Begeman was 15 of 16 hitting and also had two blocks.

Kadee Frankfurth led the defense with eight digs and Sami Brenden had 37 assists.

The Cyclones travel to Redfield on Thursday.

Highmore-Harrold 3, Sully Buttes 0
HIGHMORE — The Highmore-Harrold Pirates scored a 25-22, 25-21, and 25-13 sweep of the Sully Buttes Chargers Tuesday in Highmore.

The Pirates move to 8-12 and the Chargers fall to 3-17.

Lainee Ping was 21 of 22 serving for the Pirates with two aces and also had 17 digs on defense. Brooklyn Baloun was 55 of 56 setting with 18 assists and also 11 of 11 serving with an ace.

Jada Baloun led the Pirate attack with nine kills on 33 of 35 hitting and had four blocks. Addison McDonnell was 21 of 25 on the attack with eight kills.

No individual statistics were available for Sully Buttes.

Highmore-Harrold will travel to Wessington Springs Thursday.

De Smet 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0
IROQUOIS — The De Smet Bulldogs cruised to a three-set sweep of the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks Tuesday in Iroquois by scores of 25-13, 25-20, and 25-13.

The Bulldogs moved to 9-9 behind a big game from Hazel Luethmers. She tallied 15 kills, three aces, and two blockers.

Ivey Schoenfelder had six kills and three aces while Megan Dylla had 25 assists and Brooke Jennings led the defense with nine digs.

The Sharks fall to 4-15 despite nine kills, two blocks, and an ace by Hadlee Holt. Chenoa Harris led the defense with 12 digs and Brityn Davies had 11 set assists.

The Bulldogs will host Oldham/Ramona-Rutland Thursday while the Sharks will travel to Sunshine Bible Academy.
