Middle School volleyball 10-9-24

MITCHELL — The Huron Middle School Tigers won two of three matches against Mitchell in volleyball Tuesday in Mitchell.

In eighth grade action, the “A” team won in three sets by scores of 25-22, 19-25, and 15-8 to move to 5-7 on the year.

The “B” team fell in straight sets, 25-23 and 25-13. The Tigers fall to 2-7.

The eighth grade “C” team won 25-22 and 25-23 to move to 4-5.

No statistics were available from the eighth-grade matches.

7th grade

Huron took two of three from Mitchell in seventh grade matchups.

The “A” team fell in three sets with Mitchell winning 25-10, 23-25, 15-11.

Arianna James recorded three kills on 4 of 7 hitting.

Sofialin Lian had an ace on 7 of 8 serving, Bricia Miller was 3 of 3 serving with an ace, and MaKenna Porisch had one ace on 3 of 4 serving.

The “B” team won 25-14 and 25-14.

Mercy Htoo had nine aces on 18 of 20 serving. Adalyn Cunard recorded five aces on 10 of 11 serving.

Miller recorded three aces on 4 of 4 serving and Maddie McGaugh had an ace on 2 of 2 serving.

The “C” Tigers escaped with a 25-20 and 29-27 victory.

Adrianna Glanzer had seven aces on 10 of 12 serving. Grace Htoo also was 10 of 12 serving with six aces.

Lay Htee had one ace on 3 of 6 serving and Amari Greene was 3 of 4 serving with an ace.

Middle School volleyball is back in action Tuesday hosting Aberdeen.
