De Smet 3, James Valley Christian 0
HURON — The De Smet Bulldogs swept past the James Valley Christian Lady Vikings 25-4, 25-8, and 25-14 at JVC gym in Huron.

The Bulldogs moved to 7-8 behind 18 kills on 34 of 35 hitting from Hazel Luethmers. Alyssa Asleson and Ivey Schoenfelder each had two service aces.

Megan Dylla was 70 of 71 setting for De Smet with 28 assists. Aubree Blue led the Bulldog defense with nine digs.

The Lady Vikings fall to 0-6. Kaitlyn Stahl led the JVC defense with 29 digs. Ella Anderson added 15 digs and Dara Olowu-Davies had 11 digs.

The Vikings host Wolsey-Wessington Thursday. The Bulldogs are off until Tuesday, when they will travel to Willow Lake to play Clark/Willow Lake.

Miller 3, Redfield 0
REDFIELD — The Class “A” fourth ranked Miller Rustlers pushed their season mark to 13-1 Tuesday night, with a straight-set non-conference volleyball win over the Redfield Pheasants, in the Redfield High School Gymnasium.

Set scores for Miller were 25-20, 25-22 and 25-13.

Paige Werdel had 13 kills and four aces in the match for Miller, which also got an astounding 10 aces, as well as 10 digs from Jolie Palmer.

Kate Lichty had six kills and seven digs and setter Oliva Resel ended with 26 set assists on the night.

For Redfield, which falls to 3-10, Ceci Suchor had six kills, while Hayden Gall had nine assists, six digs and an ace.

Miller hosts the Central South Dakota Conference Tournament on Saturday at the Miller Armory, while Redfield hosts Milbank on Thursday.

Hitchcock-Tulare 3, Iroquois/Lake Preston 0
HITCHCOCK — The Hitchcock-Tulare Lady Patriots move to a perfect 14-0 Tuesday night, with a 25-9, 25-11, 25-6 take down of the Iroquois/Lake Preston Sharks.

Katelyn Schroeder notched 18 kills on the night for the Lady Pats, while Cora Hofer added six kills. Lila Johnson had 21 set assists and had a pair of aces, while Isabel Gilbert had five aces. Cambree Hoekman led the defense with 12 digs and Avarie Estey added 11.

Kera Dubro had three kills and eight digs for the Sharks, while Chenoa Harris added two kills. Hadlee Holt had nine digs to lead ILP, now 2-9 on the season.

The Sharks host Highmore-Harrold on Thursday in Iroquois, while Hitchcock-Tulare will face Freeman on Saturday, in the Sioux Falls Pentagon Tournament.
