Wolsey-Wessington 3, James Valley Christian 0
HURON - The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds defeated the James Valley Lady Vikings in straight sets Thursday in 281 Conference action at the JVC gym.

Set scores for the Lady Warbirds, now 9-2, were 25-14, 25-7, and 25-10.

Samara Clemente led the Warbird attack with 11 kills on 13 of 14 hitting. Rachel Boomsma and Roxy Glanzer each added six kills.

Boomsma nailed six aces on 18 of 19 serving and Shae Uttecht had five aces on 25 of 26 serving.

Kendal Uttecht set up the W-W offense with 31 assists on 50 of 50 setting. Shae Uttecht led the defense with nine digs.

The Lady Vikings fall to 0-7. Kaitlyn Stahl had 18 digs to lead the defense. Dara Olowu-Davies set up the offense with seven assists on 29 of 36 setting.

Ella Anderson, Addison Kleinsasser, and Eliana Van Scharrel each had two kills to pace JVC.

The Lady Warbirds will participate in the Central South Dakota Conference tournament Saturday in Miller. JVC hosts Aberdeen Christian on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Clark/Willow Lake 3, Deuel 0

WILLOW LAKE - The Clark/Willow Lake Cyclones had a dominant sweep against the Deuel Cardinals Thursday in Willow Lake by scores of 25-6, 25-8, and 25-16.

The Cyclones move to 9-4 behind strong team serving that racked up 15 aces. Hannah Heiman led the way for CWL with five aces on 11 of 13 serving. Tehya Vig had three aces on 13 of 14 serving.

Shay Michalski and Shelby Begeman each had nine kills. Michalski was 18 of 22 hitting and Begeman was 13 of 13. Begeman added four blocks.

Sami Brenden had 21 assists and Kadee Frankfurth led the Cyclone defense with seven digs.

The Cardinals drop to 3-11. Individual statistics were not available.

Clark/Willow Lake will host De Smet Tuesday in Willow Lake.

Wolsey-Wessington 3, Sanborn Central/Woonsocket 1
WOLSEY - The Wolsey-Wessington Lady Warbirds moved to 8-2 with a four-set victory over the Sanborn Central/Woonsocket Blackhawks Tuesday in Wolsey.

Set scores for the Lady Warbirds were 25-19, 25-19, 18-25, and 25-16.

Samara Clemente had a big night for W-W, with 13 kills on 27 of 31 hitting and six blocks. Roxy Glanzer had nine kills on 20 of 26 hitting and also was 16 of 17 serving with three aces.

Kendal Uttecht dished out 39 assists while Shae Uttecht had 19 digs to lead the Lady Warbird defense. Rachel Boomsma added three aces from the service line on 14 of 15 serving.

Kaylie Robinson led the Blackhawks (8-6) with 12 kills. Liz Boschee had eight kills and six blocks. Alexa Goertz had eight kills, 13 digs, and three service aces.

Kenzie Schley had 18 assists and three blocks. Kaylie Bartholow led the defense with 14 digs.

SCW will travel to Highmore-Harrold on Tuesday.
