Middle School volleyball faces Aberdeen

ABERDEEN — The Huron Tiger seventh-and-eighth-grade volleyballs team dropped matches to Aberdeen Central Thursday.
Seventh-grade
The Huron “A” team fell 25-17, 25-9. Huron was led by Sofialin Lian’s two aces, while Lylli Hofer had a kill for the Tigers.
The “B” match went to Aberdeen 25-15, 25-12, despite an ace and a kill by Maddie McGaugh.
Taelyn Larson had five aces and Lay Htee had a pair of aces for
Huron’s “C” team, as Aberdeen prevailed in two close sets, 25-23, 25-23.
Eighth-grade
Huron’s eighth-grade team stumbled in three matches with the Golden Eagles.
Huron’s “A” team found themselves on the short end of a 25-10, 25-18, 15-7 score. Jayla Schley led Huron with six kills and Arian Pfitzer added four. Ramsey Rozelle passed out nine set assists and Autumn Seidschlag had two aces and two block/kills.
In the “B” contest, Aberdeen took the 25-10, 25-16 win. Huron got solo kills from three separate players and solo aces from four as well. Andrea Estrada had one kill and an ace.
Huron’s “C” team fell 25-7 and 25-12. No stats were available for the match.
Huron hosts Pierre on Monday, in a 4 p.m. matchup at Huron Middle School Gym.
